A House By The Sea

Author and renowned designer Bunny Williams has been at the pinnacle of the interior design world for more than four decades. In this evocative new book, she invites readers into La Colina, her enchanting Caribbean retreat nestled beside the sea and surrounded by lush tropical gardens. The pages explore every facet of the property—from inviting outdoor rooms and thoughtful garden design to the relaxed luxury of the villa’s interiors, furnishings, and curated collections—revealing a home shaped by beauty, comfort, and island living.

Woven throughout are personal essays by close friends who have experienced La Colina firsthand. Gil Schafer reflects on the villa’s architecture, Page Dickey tours the gardens, Roxana Robinson captures the pleasures of a weekend stay, Angus Wilkie muses on the joys of collecting, and Jane Garmey celebrates cooking, food, and friendship. Together, these voices create an intimate portrait of a place where design, nature, and hospitality come together in perfect harmony.
